Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 September 2026
These terms cover the Subconscious text-message service, the Subconscious app for Mac, and the servers behind them. Texting the number, installing the app or connecting an account means you accept them.
What Subconscious does
Subconscious reads sources you switch on, and sends you short messages about your day. What it reads and how long it keeps it is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Your side
Connect only accounts you own or are authorised to use. Do not use Subconscious to collect information about someone else without their knowledge. Do not attempt to reach another person's data, and do not attack, overload or reverse the service. You are responsible for what you connect and for keeping your own devices secure. Subconscious is for personal use, and you must be at least 16.
What it is not
Subconscious writes with a language model, so it can be wrong, out of date, or confidently mistaken. Nothing it says is professional advice of any kind, financial, legal, medical or otherwise. Do not rely on it for anything that matters without checking. Never treat a missing reminder as proof that nothing was scheduled.
Availability and changes
This is an early-access project provided as-is and as-available, with no warranty of any kind. It may change, break, or stop. Features may be removed. Access may be suspended or ended at any time, including for the conduct described above. You may stop at any time by turning sources off, disconnecting Google, or removing the Mac app.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Subconscious and its operator are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profits, or anything arising from acting on what a message said. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
